Leeds-founded Assured Data Protection opens new UK and EMEA headquarters at Thorpe Park after securing eight-figure HSBC funding and expanding into France, Canada, and Latin America

Leeds-founded cyber resilience firm Assured Data Protection has opened a new UK and EMEA headquarters at Thorpe Park business park as the company grows to more than 300 employees globally. Founded in 2016 by Simon Chappell, Stewart Parkin, and Stacy Hayes – all three based in Yorkshire – Assured Data Protection Leeds has grown from three people to over 100 UK staff and 300 worldwide, specialising in data protection, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience for enterprise and mid-market organisations. The move to Thorpe Park follows an eight-figure funding package from HSBC UK’s Growth Lending fund secured earlier this year, making Assured the first Northern business to benefit from HSBC’s £250 million programme for high-growth UK tech scale-ups. The company is backed by private equity firms Oakley Capital and Soho Square.

Cognisys expanded to Australia with 120 staff across 12 countries. Boxphish secured National Technology Accelerator backing. Precursor received NPIF investment.
