About the Editor
Leeds Today is founded and edited by Alistaire MacGregor, a brand strategist and media professional with extensive experience building consumer brands in the outdoor industry.
As co-owner of an outdoor brand portfolio, Alistaire was responsible for the consumer-facing identity and marketing of multiple brands across international territories. He built networks of journalists, influencers, athletes, and partner brands to drive growth, developing a deep understanding of how to tell stories that connect with audiences and deliver commercial results.
Having grown up around Leeds, Alistaire returned to the city five years ago and has watched it evolve at pace. The scale of investment, development, and innovation happening across the city convinced him that Leeds deserved its own dedicated business news platform — one that could cut through the noise and give the local business community clear, useful, and trustworthy reporting.
He launched Leeds Today in March 2026 with that goal in mind. Every article published on the platform is editorially reviewed to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clarity before publication.
