Northern Gritstone invests in deep tech and life sciences businesses emerging from northern universities, working with the universities of Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool. Its shareholders include northern local authority pension funds, institutional investors and the founding universities. The firm began investing in 2022 and has a Leeds base at Nexus on the University of Leeds campus, with its registered office in Manchester.
