North Star Coffee Leeds opens at Victoria Quarter in its most significant hospitality investment, joining 15 B Corp occupiers at the destination
Independent Leeds roaster North Star Coffee Leeds has opened at Victoria Quarter in what the company describes as its most significant investment in physical hospitality to date. The new kiosk, adjacent to Jo Malone, offers a rotating selection of ethically sourced coffees alongside homemade sandwiches and baked goods. North Star is among the UK’s first B Corp certified coffee roasters, and its arrival takes the number of certified B Corp occupiers at Victoria Leeds to 15. The opening follows Prestons’ £7 million commitment to treble its Rolex boutique at Victoria Gate, signalling continued investment in Leeds’ premium retail and hospitality quarter.
Why This Matters For Leeds
North Star choosing Victoria Quarter for its biggest hospitality investment is a vote of confidence in the city centre from one of Leeds’ most recognised independent brands. For Victoria Leeds and operator Redical, adding a homegrown B Corp roaster alongside luxury retailers like Prestons and Jo Malone strengthens the mix of national brands and local independents.
What North Star Coffee Leeds Brings to Victoria Quarter
The menu features espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, teas, matcha, iced drinks, and soft drinks, alongside freshly prepared sandwiches and baked goods. North Star’s reputation is built on ethically sourced, specialty-grade coffee roasted at its Leeds base. Co-founder Holly Kragiopoulos said Leeds has always been at the heart of North Star Coffee and that opening in Victoria Quarter is a huge milestone. She described it as the company’s biggest commitment to physical hospitality and said it was important to select the right location for the biggest impact. Rachel Bradburn, head of leasing at Redical, said the arrival brings a sense of authenticity and discovery, adding a distinct point of difference to Victoria Leeds.

“Leeds has always been at the heart of North Star Coffee, so opening in Victoria Quarter is a huge milestone. This acts as our biggest commitment to physical hospitality so far, so it was important we selected the right location to have the biggest impact.”
— Holly Kragiopoulos, Co-founder, North Star Coffee
Victoria Leeds Continues to Invest
The opening by North Star Coffee Leeds follows a series of investments at Victoria Leeds. Prestons is spending £7 million to treble its Rolex boutique at Victoria Gate to 6,770 sq ft across two floors. The Cut and Craft, the premium British steak restaurant, is expanding its existing site at Victoria Quarter with a new adjoining cocktail bar, lounge, and live entertainment stage. The concentration of new openings and expansions positions Victoria Leeds as one of the most actively invested retail and hospitality destinations in the city. Bradburn has described the recent activity as evidence of Leeds assuring itself as one of the premier shopping locations in the country.
