The London-founded consultancy's Leeds Dock team is building software for IT support firms and plans to start hiring within three months.
CloudWize, an AI consultancy that opened a base at Department on Leeds Dock earlier this year, has launched Levelled, a Leeds AI platform built for managed service providers (the firms that run IT support for other businesses). The team is targeting £30m turnover by 2030 and plans to start recruiting within the next three months.
CloudWize and Levelled now form part of Levelled Group. CloudWize, founded in London by chief executive Edward Humphrey and chief technology officer Matt Hyde, continues its consultancy work for clients in finance, legal, manufacturing and local government. It also acts as the development arm behind the new platform.
Why This Matters For Leeds
Levelled turns a London-founded consultancy's Leeds base into the home of a software product aimed at a national market. For developers and sales staff in the city, it points to new roles at an early-stage AI business on Leeds Dock. A successful investment round would give Leeds a foothold in software built for the IT channel.
How the Levelled platform works
Levelled starts with Microsoft licensing, covering the quoting, provisioning, billing and reconciling of the licences that IT support firms resell to their customers. The company describes this as slow, admin-heavy work that has traditionally earned providers very little margin. Features covering the wider Microsoft estate are due next.
The company says beta trials cut the full licensing process from days to minutes, with revenue converting up to 600% faster. It says the platform mines 11,000 metrics per customer, giving sales teams 80% more upsell opportunities, while an integration with GoCardless lets providers collect payments automatically.
“AI agents now have access to tools, context and knowledge, which means we can automate frustrating, profit-eroding processes like licensing lifecycles end-to-end, without MSPs having to invest heavily,” said Matt Hyde.
Edward Humphrey said the founders had worked in, supported, owned and grown such firms themselves. “We understand MSPs’ frustrations because we’ve felt them too. We’ve lived the constraints. It’s relentlessly tough, so we decided to fix it.”
“We're targeting £30m turnover by 2030, with plans to recruit in the next three months and secure investment within the next 12 months.”

Growth plans for the Leeds AI platform
Alongside the hiring, the business aims to secure investment within the next 12 months and is already exploring a move into North America. The Leeds AI platform is the latest step for a company that set up in the city this year.
CloudWize announced its Leeds base in February, alongside the appointment of Tim Mercer as chief commercial officer. Tim founded Huddersfield-based IT provider Vapour in 2013 and sold it in 2025. Katie Mallinson, a communications specialist with almost 20 years in the IT channel, sits on the senior team as non-executive chief marketing officer.
At the time, CloudWize said it employed 30 developers, engineers and architects and was aiming to triple sales to £9m by the end of 2028. Its website says the founders built it into a £3.2m revenue business in its first 18 months.
Levelled joins a growing group of Leeds software businesses selling to other companies, a sector Tech West Yorkshire set out to champion when it launched in June.
