The Danish juice and coffee chain will take a 3,595 sq ft unit on Trinity Street at Trinity Leeds for its first store in the city.
Danish juice and coffee chain Joe & The Juice is to open its first Leeds store, taking a 3,595 sq ft unit on Trinity Street at Trinity Leeds. The Joe & The Juice Leeds store will serve the brand’s juices, shakes and speciality coffee alongside breakfast bowls and made-to-order sandwiches, sold in its pink packaging.
Why This Matters For Leeds
International brands are still choosing central Leeds for their first sites, a sign of confidence in daytime footfall. For neighbouring cafes and shops on Trinity Street, a well-known breakfast brand should bring more early trade. Each new arrival strengthens the case for other national chains to open their first Yorkshire sites in Leeds.
Plans for the Joe & The Juice Leeds store
Founded in Copenhagen in 2002 by Kaspar Basse, Joe & The Juice has grown from a single bar into a chain of more than 500 stores worldwide. It passed the 500 mark in May 2026 and has opened in new markets this year including Greece, Spain and Egypt, with the UK one of its core markets. US investor General Atlantic has been its majority shareholder since 2023 and the chain is aiming for 1,000 stores by 2028.
The Leeds store will follow the chain’s usual format: pink branding, a pared-back Scandinavian interior and an open counter where drinks and food are made in front of customers.
The Joe & The Juice Leeds opening comes as the chain pushes harder into breakfast. In September it began rolling out a new morning menu, adding hot egg wraps and egg bowls, with the widest rollout in the UK and US.
Steve Foster, centre director at Trinity Leeds, said: “Renowned for its vibrant range of freshly prepared smoothies, shakes and juices, the brand is a fantastic addition to our food and drink offering, and we’re confident they will prove popular amongst our guests when they officially open.”
Trinity Leeds and its food and drink line-up
The signing adds to a run of food and drink arrivals at the centre. Joe & The Juice joins Misu Tiramisu, Jerk Junction and The Savvy Baker, with Caribbean street food brand Jerk Junction confirmed for Trinity Kitchen in March.
It also follows a wave of retail and leisure signings announced in April, including the bowling and games venue Lane7.
Trinity Leeds opened in March 2013 in the heart of the city’s retail core. It has been adding food, drink and leisure alongside its shops, and the new store brings in a breakfast and lunch brand that until now had no site in Leeds.
