Pharmacy2U was founded by pharmacist Daniel Lee in 1999 and took part in the first NHS electronic prescription pilots in 2002.

Headquartered at Thorpe Park, it manages NHS repeat prescriptions and runs an automated dispensary in Leicester. It bought LloydsDirect in 2023, and accounts for the year to March 2025 show turnover of £334m.
