DDR Partners Yorkshire: new firm combines planning consultancy, development advisory, and agency expertise under one roof
A new planning and development consultancy has launched in Yorkshire with the aim of combining services that landowners and developers typically have to source from multiple firms. DDR Partners Yorkshire was founded by Harry Dee, Hugh Douglas-Roberts, and Charlotte Nicholson, and is based at Bowcliffe Hall in Bramham, near Wetherby.
How the Firm Differs From Traditional Consultancies
The firm’s pitch is straightforward: in a market where planning projects often move between departments or multiple firms, DDR & Partners keeps knowledge and accountability in one place. Rather than handing a project from a planning consultant to a development adviser to a land agent, the three founders work as a single team across all three disciplines.
The firm operates nationally but has a strong focus on North Yorkshire, where the founders have established networks and detailed knowledge of local planning policy. Despite launching recently, DDR & Partners has already secured a pipeline of instructions across the county, including planning consent for four bungalows in Baldersby, a self-build dwelling in Carlton Miniott, and land disposal projects in Boroughbridge and Northallerton. The firm is also advising on a proposed 30-dwelling scheme in Scarborough.
“Planning doesn’t need to feel overwhelming. We simplify complexity with honest guidance and evidence-led strategy built for real, deliverable outcomes. Our role is to protect value and guide each project toward a confident, achievable result.”
— Harry Dee, Founding Director, DDR & Partners
“Our aim is simple: to give landowners and developers clear, joined-up advice that turns complexity into calm, grounded confidence.”
— Hugh Douglas-Roberts, Founding Director, DDR & Partners
