Leeds AI Consultancy Enablis Opens London Office

The AI-native consultancy is expanding out of its Leeds headquarters, opening in London and hiring a chief AI officer after 33% revenue growth

A fast-growing Leeds technology consultancy is expanding and, encouragingly, the Leeds business is the headquarters doing the expanding. Enablis, an AI-native consultancy that helps organisations put artificial intelligence into live use rather than pilots, has opened a second UK office in London and appointed two senior leaders. The Farringdon office opened on 13 July, alongside the arrival of Matt Feeney as chief AI officer and Mark Melvin as client partner. It follows a period of rapid growth for the private equity-backed firm, which now employs 42 people and grew revenue 33% between 2024 and 2025.

A Leeds firm building a national reputation in applied AI strengthens the city’s claim as a serious technology centre.

Why Enablis Is Growing

The consultancy’s pitch is that AI is embedded in how it operates, not bolted on as a service line, and that every engagement ends in something working in production rather than a demo. That positioning has found a market: the firm reported revenue growth of £5.6m, up 33% year-on-year, and has reached 42 staff in around 20 months. It plans to recruit a further ten AI-focused consultants across engineering and delivery over the next six months. Its client list is a notable one for a company of its size, spanning financial services, transport and technology, and including Monzo, Engine by Starling, PokerStars, P&O Ferries, StepChange and TransUnion. The new chief AI officer, Matt Feeney, joins from PA Consulting, while client partner Mark Melvin arrives having held senior roles at Accenture and Mach49.

From Fruition to an AI-Native Business

Enablis has roots in Leeds’ technology scene. Founded around 2019 by Sarah Pawson and co-founder Martin Jones alongside her wider Fruition Group, whose recruitment arm dates back to 2008, the consultancy rebranded from Fruition Consulting in 2024 as it repositioned around artificial intelligence. It secured majority private equity backing from Irish investor Erisbeg in 2023 to fund local and international expansion. The London move is the latest step in that plan. It also reflects a broader shift, as demand grows for help moving AI from proof-of-concept into governed, production-grade systems that actually change a company’s numbers. A Leeds business being early and credible in that space adds to the city’s tech sector that is having an active year.
