JMG Group Leeds Acquires Three Insurance Brokers in Midlands

JMG Group Leeds acquires Jukes Insurance Brokers, RP Lovatt, and Nene Valley Insurance Practice as the Guiseley-headquartered insurance group builds its Midlands and South West presence

Guiseley-headquartered insurance group JMG Group Leeds has acquired three independent brokers in a move that extends its reach across the Midlands and South West. The deals bring Jukes Insurance Brokers (Bromsgrove and Warwick, 17 staff), RP Lovatt (Oxfordshire, established 1960), and Nene Valley Insurance Practice (Northampton, fleet and trades specialist) into the JMG portfolio. The acquisitions follow JMG’s purchase of Boston Insurance Brokers in September 2025 and are being led by regional managing director Alan Percival, who joined the group at the start of 2026 from a Birmingham base with more than 35 years of insurance broking experience.

What JMG Group Leeds Has Acquired

Jukes Insurance Brokers is the largest of the three. Founded in Bromsgrove in 1963, it is now a third-generation family business run by James Godsall-Jukes with 17 staff across two offices after acquiring North Warwick Insurance Services in 2022. RP Lovatt, established in Oxfordshire in 1960, is also a multi-generational family business serving commercial and personal clients, now led by third-generation broker Marc Lovatt. Nene Valley Insurance Practice, a Northampton-based fleet and trades specialist founded in 2018 by Paul Graham, has joined JMG subsidiary BQI Insurance. All three founders or leaders are staying with their businesses post-acquisition.

A Guiseley Group Building National Scale

JMG Group is registered at Elmwood House in Guiseley, Leeds, and operates as a holding company for a growing portfolio of insurance broking businesses. The Midlands and South West expansion is being driven by Alan Percival, who was brought in at the start of 2026 specifically to identify high-quality independent brokers for acquisition and support existing JMG businesses to scale. The strategy is a familiar one in the insurance sector — independent brokers joining a larger group to access better markets, technology, and operational support while retaining their own brand and client relationships. JMG Group Leeds now has a growing footprint spanning Yorkshire, the Midlands, and the South West, with further acquisitions expected as the consolidation of regional insurance broking continues across the UK.
