Likewise Group Leeds acquires £3 million freehold distribution hub as AIM-listed flooring business reports Q1 revenue up 15.2% to £44.2 million
Morley-based flooring distributor Likewise Group Leeds has acquired the freehold of a second distribution hub in the city for £3 million. The AIM-listed company (LIKE) says the new hub will streamline its supply chain for palletised goods arriving from the Far East and Europe, improving container planning and releasing capacity across the group’s wider network. The investment comes alongside a trading update showing group revenue in the first three months of 2026 reached £44.2 million, up 15.2% on the same period last year.
Why This Matters For Leeds
Likewise Group is an AIM-listed company headquartered in Morley that most people in Leeds probably haven’t heard of, but it turned over £163.8 million in 2024, is growing at 15%, and has just invested £3 million in a second Leeds distribution hub. The company’s growth from a Leeds base to a national operation with distribution centres across the UK is the kind of scaling story that often goes unnoticed outside the flooring trade. With a £250 million revenue target and further freehold investments planned, this is a Leeds business worth watching.
From Morley to a £250 Million Target
Likewise Group Leeds is headquartered at the Leeds 27 Industrial Estate on Bruntcliffe Avenue in Morley, where its Likewise North operation has traded since 2019. The company has grown rapidly from that Leeds base, reaching £163.8 million in revenue in 2024 across a network of distribution hubs in Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Sudbury, plus logistics centres in London, Newbury, Manchester, Newcastle, and Plymouth. It acquired Valley Wholesale Carpets in 2022, adding centres in London, Derby, and Newport. The company now has 96 sales executives and brands including Likewise Floors, Valley Wholesale Carpets, A&A, Delta, H&V, and Lewis Abbott.
The £3 million Leeds freehold is part of a broader logistics expansion. A 60% extension to the Newport distribution centre is on schedule to be operational in July 2026, and the board says it is considering further freehold projects to increase capacity. The company describes these investments as supporting its strategy of growing sales revenue towards £250 million. CEO Tony Brewer will present the full year results for 2025 on 28 April via the Investor Meet Company platform.
The board says the group has increasing net assets and strong support from its principal bankers for these freehold investments. April trading to date is showing a similar positive trend to Q1, which the company says represents significant increases in market share despite worldwide economic uncertainties
